In 2013, I turned to a raw, plant-based diet for nutrition, in an effort to lose weight, and get healthy. I struggled with this throughout my childhood. I was inspired by others’ stories of how raw food not only changed their health, but how it changed their mindset in a positive way! So I began my journey in the raw food world!

Being a chef by trade, I took my culinary creativity to another level, and began making my own vegan snacks and energy bars. One day I decided to share them with my brother and his friends. This is a group of elite marathon runners, whose response was, “You have something special and different here!” They were impressed not only in the taste but, also, the level of endurance they experienced!

After such positive feedback, I was curious what others would think. So I made over 500 samples of my energy bar and went to health stores, gyms, beaches, and parks. The feedback was all the same, “This is delicious, what’s your secret!?” From all the positive feedback, I was inspired to start a raw food company, and that’s the beginning of UTURN RAW!
